Season Greeting 2017

 Our Dear Family and Friends

They holiday season is here again and of course flying by fast. We have so much to be grateful for in the Salvesen household.  We are busier than ever yet so grateful for our dear family and countless friends who keep us smiling throughout the year.

Ajay and I began 2017 by celebrating his New England Patriots win of the Superbowl.  Ajay also received a promotion at his job  with 1280 theZone Sports Network. Utah State, Aggie Sports was bought by Utah Jazz Radio so he has been privileged to do more in Logan, Utah. Shortly after the promotion Ajay was offered a baseball coaching position in Cache Valley.

In March, he accepted the position as assistant baseball coach for the new highschool now known as the Green Canyon Wolverines.  In the mean time, I,ve been a receptionist for Salt Lake Bees Baseball over the last two years.  During the off season I{ve been able to keep up with my schooling. I{ve kept my pharmacy license active as well as completed two additional finance classes for my coursework with Brigham Young University'Idaho.  I was overjoyed to have been in Rexburg, Idaho during the Solar Eclipse.  It truly was a heavenly experience. During October, we moved to Logan and I am once again working with Walgreens.

Ajay and I have been married over two years.  We have so much fun together and I love being a sports wife. Occasionally our date nights get to include a Jazz basketball or Bees baseball game.   Marriage has been a new and blissful experience for both of us.  We learn together every day and are forever grateful for this time of year.  The time to give and reflect on our Saviou{s birth and the true reason for the season.  We are grateful for all your love and the support so often offered in our behalf.  We apologize for the thank'you notes we missed after our wedding.  Please understand how grateful we are to have been blessed with so much help and love from so many.

Most of all we are grateful for Our Savior and very best friend of all time, even Jesus Christ.  He has always been there for us 100% of the time. We{ve felt His love time and time again especially through those we love.

We hope that the magic will last all year long and that all our loved ones will be safe and blessed with peace this next year. May joy bless your homes this holiday and many more to come.  May the Lord bless you and keep you.

Love Always,

NaeDene and Ajay Salvesen.

Throwback Thursday

Returning Home!

This is what I was doing nine years ago. It was the last day in Arizona as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  This is where I found myself and where I learned to speak the language of love and Espanol!  It truly was the best two years of my life.  I dedicated myself to my love for my personal Savior and very best friend in the whole entire universe! I met, loved and taught some brilliant people who are very close friends to this day.

I will forever be grateful for who I am today because of who I became those 8 years ago.

Rocktober 2017!
October is an awesome month. It has been through out my whole life. It's the month that my loving Grandmother Lillian Adkins Funk celebrates her birthday. Last week I was also privileged to celebrate my Grandpa Chris Olsen's b-day. In a couple of days it will be my new brother's Nick Salvesen's birthday and Today is my dad's birthday. I loved growing up on the Funk Farm and miss the long days of harvest! I
miss sitting at the kitchen table with my mom helping her make the magnetic truck numbers. I loved watching the wheat fields change from a golden yellow to brown. I miss the grade school field trips of spud gleaning. I loved driving home from a football game or church function to a gorgeous sunset along the snake river. Being a farmers daughter, I've come to understand the value hard work. Yet, I miss those John Deere tractors and sitting next to my dad in the potato truck. I am so grateful for the farm that made me the country gal I am today and the loved ones who have shaped me into the best me I could ever be.
